PCI DSS
PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) is the security standard established by international credit card organizations. Card data is entered on the Saferpay payment page or hosted forms and is neither processed, transmitted, nor stored in our systems. This ensures maximum security for your payment.
3-D Secure 2
To meet the PSD2 requirements for strong customer authentication, payment card organizations Visa and Mastercard, in collaboration with the EMVCo corporate body, have enhanced the 3-D Secure protocol, resulting in 3-D Secure 2.
Compliant with PSD2 regulations, the 3-D Secure 2 protocol applies to both EU countries and Switzerland, and must be adopted by all e-commerce merchants.
With the 3-D Secure process, cardholders are required to identify themselves through an additional step during online transactions.
The new 3-D Secure 2 security standard significantly improves the card payment experience in e-commerce by using a broader range of data, biometric authentication methods, and a smoother, more consistent online experience.
